Here, I tried first opening the "unsupported info" and then the forced subtitle it only offers.

Could you post your logs so I can see what is happening? See the section in red above.

What do you mean exactly with loosing other subtitles? Do you mean all other subs disappear in the #--TRANSCODE--# folder?

Yeah, #--TRANSCODE--# folder says "unsupported info" at the top, and no other ...

I have the same issue, if a file has embedded Forced subtitles, it will simply lose all other subtitles and only offer forced.
Any way to get past this other than using external subtitles?

I'm interested in seeing a source for that too, I will be very happy if they add native MKV DV support but I can't find a source

Here G4 and C4 users are confirming this, seems its DV profile 8 and upwards.
https://www.reddit.com/r/LGOLED/comments/1nkcj7e/g4_webos25_update_enabled_media_player ...

So to watch DV content, and in general for best quality and to avoid transcoding even without DV, I should enable the setting "Remux videos with tsMuxeR when possible instead of transcoding"?

I read that the webOS 2025 update brings DV support for MKV, but that it also has a memory leak which kills ...

I upgraded to a PS5 and was all happy until I found out it can't function as a media server.

I'm looking to get a 2024/2025 OLED, or QD-OLED TV, LG or Samsung for example, as they seem to have the best deals.

How does it work (optimally), what to consider? Does the basic functionality cover ...

I can confirm the new 14.13 update has fixed the stutter issue.

EDIT: mencoder still gets out of sync at 10 minute mark each time. I think it has better image quality, so it's a shame if it's not usable anymore with newer versions.

Changing network speed to 90 or 45 didn't work (although it only seems to save the set value visibly in web GUI only). After today's 14.12 reinstall the mystery 2nd server seems to be gone. 282mb/s speed has been there for years with my fiber optic internet router and CAT6 cabling and it never ...

I had this problem as I reupgraded to 14.12 from 13.6. I reinstalled again but used the "clean install" option, then it showed the files.

Interestingly the logs clearly listed the files in the directory, but on PS3 end it didnt show. And as on the other thread, I also noted that 14.12 shows two UMS ...

I don't know what could be causing this so I would have to see your logs to know what is happening. see the section in red above.

I suspect the issue is the "defer to Mencoder for problematic subs" option that is on by default.
There may be another issue too as we discovered here and can be ...
