Send video to a device

Hi,

I'am Mobby. I used UMS in an old version in the past. I’ve rediscovered it now.
I remember there war in the old version the functionality to send a video to a device which should show it. And also the pause/resume was working on the TV.
There was some small "send to device" button in the old version. Mayby some of you can remind.

In the new version I installed now I do not find this feature anymore.
Can you please help me?

You can do this by clicking on the renderer icon. In the web interface there click the blue [...] button and then controls which opens a side bar.

In the old GUI it shows controls at the bottom of the renderer info.

It may not work if your TV's settings blocks these control signals.
I don't use this but just tried and would not work. In the logs was saying the TV sent the message "Error: Action not authorized".
I think it is probably because I have never connected to the internet or accepted the T&Cs but could be something else.

Thx a lot for the hint. I tested it directly. It's running but not for every video on my disk. I think in the old version it worked better.

I used to use it differently. This is still visible in the knowledge base by pressing the play symbol in the red square.

Is this option still available, or does it need to be activated?

I think that was changed into what I showed before as that looks like the old webUI.
That knowledge base probably needs updating.

In theory it should work for all videos but maybe it won't if that video is unsupported on your TV and needs transcoding.

If you post your logs showing a video where it works and one that does not I will be able to see why. See the link in my sig.
