Hey there--
So, I had been using UMS with my windows 8 pro 64bit laptop, and it ran rather well except for the issues i was having with it slowing down, or i guess maybe it was a memory issue...(i5 processor/8gb ram/intel hd 4000 gpu); but i didn't address it cuz i got kinda fed up and just started connecting my laptop via hdmi again. I really want the option, though, and frankly, sometimes the cable gets in the way.

Since then I have upgraded my laptop to 8.1 pro, and now i see: ums 3.1.1. I got all excited to see there was an update, and knowing that UMS should work out of box, I decided to install it. When I go to the DLNA app, it shows for about a sec, then disappears.

So...?

Hi Monica Jae, is there an older version that stays connected to that TV? By the way the memory thing can probably be fixed by leaving the transcode buffer on the default setting of 200.

Well, considering I joined this site on 10/21, it leads me to believe that any version between then and the 3.0.0 version did.

I switched it back to 200 and I will download the 3.0.0 version and give that a shot.

dl'loaded one and used your suggestions and none of it is sshowing any output.of course i will attach my logs my any insight would be helpful thanks.

Also, can you try removing some folders that are being reported as "don't exist":

I don't think PMSEncoder works with our newer versions so I recommend removing it from the plugins folder, it might be the thing causing problems

It does exist actually. I had actually had it working yesterday, but now it's not: Ok, i hope that's enough info. I wanna watch movies!!!

Oh just to be clear- i did remove the pmsencoder.jar from the program directory.
