That video has DTSHD audio which that TV does not support so it has to be transcoded to be playable.
Code: Select all
Audio codec "dtshd" failed to match support line f:mkv v:h265 a:ac3|lpcm|adpcm|aac-lc|aac-ltp|aac-main|aac-ssr|he-aac|wma|eac3|ac4|mp3|opus m:video/x-matroska w:4096 h:2160 b:800000000 si:ASS|SUBRIP|VOBSUB
Samsung stopped supporting DTS years ago to save on licencing fees.
Transcoding 4K does take a lot of processing power so it might be your computer is unable to keep up.
If you have a graphics card that can hardware encode you can enable this and let it do all the work.
Make sure the GPU is enabled and set the "AVC/H.264 GPU encoding acceleration method:" to a suitable option for your GPU.

Another option is to try a different transcoding profile.
The one used is for HLS which should give an experience similar to just streaming and allow you to enable subtitles on the fly, but requires a full transcode.
MPEGTS-H265-AC3 could be used instead and here it will remux the video and only transcode the audio.
This will have disadvantages like unable to seek (depends on the renderer) and unable to change subs or audio track unless you restart the video.
Also for anything else that is not h265 and unsupported these will be transcoded to h265 which takes even more processing.
I tweaked the conf to do this if the GPU options did not work for you and you want to try this. Save it to "
C:\ProgramData\UMS\renderers" and restart UMS.
If you don't have many videos that use DTS you could find other versions of those that do not have this and avoid ones with DTS in the future.
Or you could use something like MKVtools to convert the audio into another format like AC3 so UMS can then stream it.
