Album Art

Most of my album art (seems to be called 'audio thumbnails' in UMS) is pretty standard and is either embedded in the files or in the folder with different names including Folder.jpg. In the past it's worked fine in UMS. Now, however, after making a minor change and clearing the cache, it's started just pulling completely random files from my Photos folder and using them as album art. This is on my on my LG WebOS TV: VLC on both my phone and PC seems to use the correct album art but I wonder if that's being done by VLC rather than UMS. Changing "Audio thumbnails import" in Server Settings - Navigation Settings makes no difference.

If it is only happening on your TV then it may have its own local cache and the IDs for thumbnails are no longer matching up to what UMS was using before clearing its cache.
See if there is an option on the TV to delete history or cache and that should make it resync.

Bingo. Many thanks. For future reference, only one of the recommended methods of clearing the cache on the LG telly (I have WebOS v23.23.30) appears to work:
Close the Media Player app
Go to network settings and disconnect the TV from the network
Re-open Media Player, which tries to refresh, the refresh fails, and the media server disappears from the list of available media. Exit the app.
Go back to network settings and reconnect
Re-open Media Player. The media server now reappears in the list and everything is back to normal.
(Also seems it's best to wait for UMS to finish updating its database before doing this.)

For me with a LG WebOS22 nothing works. Resetting the TV cache with unplug it and press the start button at the TV it self. Disconnect it from LAN also didn't do the trick. Thumbnails on other devices (iOS VLC) works great but my TV doesn't want to show them anymore. It was working in previous versions of UMS but I have to say I also updated the TV.
It's not the end of the world but it would be great if it works.
