OK I can see that Terminator will be transcoded as it uses the AV1 codec that is not listed as a supported format on your TV. If this is correct then it would not work using the other conf either.
You can verify by playing from the #--TRANSCODE--# folder and choose "no transcoding". If it plays then the TV supports this and I can add this as supported.
(if you do not see this then you have to enable it in navigation settings>virtual folders)
If the conf is correct and the TV cannot play then it has to be transcoded.
I don't see any errors while transcoding, just that the connection was reset by the TV so it does not like it for some reason.
This can be tricky to get the right settings as it is not something I can do so you will have to experiment with some of the settings in the conf.
The other conf does not specify a transcoding profile so it is using the default MPEGPS-MPEG2-AC3.
This does use a lot of network bandwidth as it is not very efficient and is unsuitable for high bitrate videos like UHD.
The one set in this conf is MPEGTS-H264-AC3 which should work on most devices, it works on my F series TV.
I don't know if HLS was supported on TVs then but you could try one of those profiles, if it works it will be almost as good as if was streaming.
You can also compare the J series conf and try some settings from that if different.
Have a look at
C:\Program Files\Universal Media Server\renderers\DefaultRenderer.conf for the options.
There were other videos that are marked as needing to be transcoded.
Code: Select all
File "Now You See Me Now You Dont [2025].mkv" will not be streamed because the H.264 level (5.2) is not supported by the renderer (limit: 5.1).
The manual says it only supports up to level 5.1 but sometimes higher ones will work. Test with "No transcoding" to confirm
Code: Select all
Audio codec "mpa" failed to match support line f:mpegps v:divx|mp4|mpeg1|mpeg2|vc1|wmv|h263|vp6 a:ac3|lpcm|adpcm|aac-lc|he-aac|wma|eac3|mp3|dts m:video/mpeg w:1920 h:1080 b:160000000
Final verdict: "P1010513.mpg" will be transcoded with transcodingSettings "FFmpeg Video (MPEGTS-H264-AC3)" with mime type "video/mpeg"
I assumed mpa was part of mp3 so this should work. The manual does not specify it but if this works with "No transcoding" I can add this.
Another thing that can force transcoding is a slow network speed but yours should be fast enough.
