Like @boss says there is one device on the blocked list. Is this your PS3?
Code: Select all
network_devices_filter =192.168.0.175
If this is your router it could prevent it from seeing the PS3.
There is an entry for renderers_filter which would allow a device with that UUID as block_renderers_by_default is set to true by default.
Code: Select all
# Allowed IP addresses
# ---------------------
# The UUID of the renderers filtered.
# Deny access to the renderers if block_renderers_by_default is set to false.
# Allow access to the renderers if block_renderers_by_default is set to true.
# Default: "" (do not filter anything)
renderers_filter =66d93f25-347b-335d-97f7-db35ed920874
I don't know if these belong to the same device so it may be blocked.
Another thing that makes it hard to diagnose is you have set the default renderer to PS3 and forced this as default. This makes everything on the network to appear to be a PS3.
Code: Select all
# Selected renderers
# ------------------
# A comma-separated list of renderer configurations to load by renderer name as
# defined in the configuration file. Two special values exist, "All renderers"
# and "None". Group names made of the first word in the renderer name can be
# used to specify all renderers in that group, e.g. "Panasonic".
# Example: Yamaha RX-A1010, Panasonic
# Default: "All renderers"
selected_renderers =PlayStation 3
# Default renderer when automatic detection fails
# -----------------------------------------------
# UMS can recognize many renderers automatically. Sometimes a renderer will
# connect which UMS does not recognize. This option defines which renderer UMS
# should assume.
# Default: "", which means UMS will assume the "Unknown renderer".
renderer_default =PlayStation 3
# Force default renderer (disable automatic detection)
# ----------------------------------------------------
# By default UMS tries to automatically detect what renderers try to connect
# to it. When this is true, UMS will assume any renderer that connects is the
# default renderer.
# Default: false
renderer_force_default =true
This is fine if you only have that one device but is better to keep these default so UMS can auto detect new devices.
I can see a couple IPs being picked up as the PS3, 192.168.0.46 and 192.168.0.47
I think 192.168.0.46 is the real one as it does pick up the header
Code: Select all
Matched new media renderer "PlayStation 3" based on headers {Date=Sun, 03 May 2026 02:09:53 GMT, Host=192.168.0.46:5001, User-agent=UPnP/1.0, X-av-client-info=av=5.0; cn="Sony Computer Entertainment Inc."; mn="PLAYSTATION 3"; mv="1.0";}
Once your files have been scanned they do not need to be scanned again so that is why it takes no time to complete. UMS will look for new files and only scan them.
If you reset the cache it will do a full rescan from scratch, but will preserve played status.
I suggest making a backup of
C:\ProgramData\UMS when UMS is not running (you can just rename that folder) and this will set everything back to default.
Next time you run UMS leave everything as default and only set up your shared folders then test again on the PS3. If it still is not working post new logs and it will be easier to see why.
