Default Language

Good evening.
I noticed that it is set by default that, if an audio file is in English, the subtitles are off. Is it possible to set the audio language priority such that it would choose another language before English only if (English) subtitles exist for that file?
Thanks in advance. I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but there were enough topics that I couldn't figure out the best way to find my topic.
