No supported files

Hi all,
I'm new to UMS and before writing here in the forum I googled a lot to find a solution.
I have a new Philips 55PFS8209 and all I get from UMS on the TV is "No supported files in the folder", despite in the shared folders there are a lot of avi, mkv, mpeg and other video formats.
I tried another media server and it worked fine but I'd prefer to use UMS.
What am I doing wrong?
