Recently Played folder: Two problems

Downloaded and installed the latest version - new install because I'm a new user. I've added mp4 and avi to the don't transcode list since the cx680 handles those. However, if I do the resume version of the film AND the normal one refuse to play (file not supported). That "problem" can be fixed by allowing UMS to transcode what it wants.
The other problem is that I get multiple copies of the film I've just opened (up to 4) and sometimes films that haven't been opened (again there may be multiple copies)
There is also an entry - Clear - but it doesn't seem to do much.
Any suggestions?
