Two problems with the menu bar icon (not the Dock icon) on the Mac:
1. I'd like to disable it, because I never use it, and it clutters the menu bar. I don't see a setting for that. Could there be one? Thanks.
1. It's always white, which is fine with a dark desktop background, but invisible on a ...

Re: [Solved] Support Ending for Intel-based Apps
Just downloading the ARM version of UMS is not actually the solution, and the problem is not solved. You just won't see that warning more than once for the same app.
The UMS ARM version still "includes a component that will not work with a future release of macOS.", that is, built for Intel ...

Re: Problems with tsMuxeR on Mac, incl. audio delay
By the way, you're still shipping a completely wrong and non-functional tsMuxeR with the Mac version of UMS. It's a Linux binary:

/Applications/Universal Media Server.app/Contents/Resources/osx/tsMuxeR: ELF 64-bit LSB ...

Re: Restrict the web settings UI to the local machine, disable remote admin
If I could block port 9001 from the local network, I would. I don't ever need it to be open. But my laptop is a Mac, and the firewall doesn't let you block specific ports or interfaces, only completely block or allow an app. There might be a way to use scripting to turn on the blocking, or quit the ...

Re: Restrict the web settings UI to the local machine, disable remote admin
Thanks for the information. From a security standpoint, best practice is to close any ports that don't need to be open. I have no need to run a web server on my network, so I want to turn it off. It doesn't sound like that's possible currently. Should I make another post in the Feature Suggestions ...

Restrict the web settings UI to the local machine, disable remote admin
I want to disable access to the web settings UI from anywhere except the localhost machine. I'm only using DLNA. I can disable the web player UI on port 9002 with "web_player_enable = false", but I can't find any setting to disable the web settings server on port 9001, or better, restrict it to ...

Re: Switching from a PS3 to a smart tv
The remuxing feature over DLNA to the built-in media player is the reason I came to UMS. I didn't find anything else that can do that. Jellyfin does remuxing, but you have to use their app. I only found out UMS could do it after some deep research, so yes, you could make it more obvious.

Re: Problems with tsMuxeR on Mac, incl. audio delay
Thanks. I don't think I have any unsupported videos that need transcoding, it was only the remuxing for DV MKV. So I've just turned off transcoding, and that seems to work. It's easier than trying to modify the configuration file. Sorry, I'd rather not post logs, it seems like they have a lot of ...

Re: Problems with tsMuxeR on Mac, incl. audio delay
Fyi, I just got WebOS 25, with firmware 33.22.52. I can confirm that Dolby Vision Profile 8 plays now directly from MKV files. I don't have the problems I mentioned with tsMuxer, with weird colors and audio delays in certain files. Subtitles are working too. So far, I haven't had any problems that ...

Re: Problems with tsMuxeR on Mac, incl. audio delay
I don't have WebOS 25, it's not out yet for my model/region. I guess they're still fixing bugs. I will try it out when it's released, hopefully in the next couple of months. In the meantime, UMS 15.1 is working ok after I replaced its tsmuxer binary, except for the couple of small issues I mentioned ...
