3D Subtitles
Good morning everyone,
I consider the UMS, the best media server that I could use on Linux, but I still have some problems with it. I am currently having problems with subtitles. When are 2D files and srt subtitles are in the same folder, everything is ok. But Live Subtitles does not work, I need to manually download the srt. And in 3d files, even with the available external subtitle are not displayed on the TV, one an LG 47LM7600. Can anyone help me?

Re: 3D Subtitles
Pleas rename 3D video and subs to and try it again. The "," may cause the problem for Mencoder.
EDIT: maybe the problem is somewhere else. Are the original subtitles made as 3D? Can you upload them here?

Re: 3D Subtitles
Thanks for the log. It seems to me that the Linux FFmpeg version has an problem with converting .srt subs to .ass subs when CodePage of the .srt subs is different than UTF-8. Can you convert your subs from CodePage WINDOWS-1252 to UTF-8 and try it again?

Re: 3D Subtitles
Before you start UMS please go to the folder /home/alano/.config/UMS/data/ and delete the subfolder /subs/ with all files in it. Then start UMS and test it again. Before you close UMS please copy files /home/alano/.config/UMS/data/subs/Pacific.Rim.2013.1080p.3D.HSBS.BluRay.x264.YIFY_ID100_1426110803000.ass and /home/alano/.config/UMS/data/subs/Pacific.Rim.2013.1080p.3D.HSBS.BluRay.x264.YIFY_ID100_1426110803000_3D.ass and upload them here together with log. It seems to me that 3D subs are empty so I need to know if also is empty the temporary file Pacific.Rim.2013.1080p.3D.HSBS.BluRay.x264.YIFY_ID100_1426110803000.ass which is deleted when UMS is closed.

Re: 3D Subtitles
Thanks for your effort, now I see where is the problem. There is a bug in the UMS when detecting the 3D mode. I will fix it and it will be released in the next version. For now you can use UMS naming convention and rename video file and .srt to start with "3DSBSLF." and continue with your filename. And also delete the "3D.HSBS" from your filename to avoid to be UMS confused with that naming convention.
Re: 3D Subtitles
After you rename the files and some adjustments to the size and depth of the subtitles, apparently everything is working. Munto appreciate the help and hope to have contributed to the improvement of this project that I admire so much. Thank U!
Re: 3D Subtitles
Thanks. Can you provide your subtitle font size and depth settings to make them default for UMS? I don't have 3D TV so I only guess that values when I made the 3D subs implementation.alano.br wrote:After you rename the files and some adjustments to the size and depth of the subtitles, apparently everything is working.
