UMS not showing on either Roku or Sony Bravia 7
Computer:
OS: Windows 11
VPN: Nord (tried with it enables and disabled)
UMS: 14.12.1
FileServer: TrueNAS
TV:
Sony Bravia 7 / Bravia 4K AE2Q
Roku:
Model 3810X - Roku Streaming Stick+
I have verified that all are running the latest versions.
It has been a few years since I last used UMS. After upgrading to the latest version, I found that UMS was not showing in either the Roku or the TV. I uninstalled UMS, deleted the directories and reinstalled from scratch. While upgrading the software on the TV, I noticed that the TV I was using had the wifi card go out, so I replaced it with the Sony.
With the latest version of UMS, a new TV updated to the latest software, and a Roku likewise, I stil cannot see the UMS. My music player (MediaMonkey) does show up and I can stream music. I have tried with MediaMonkey turned off as well.
I will note that the Home page shows the TV as a renderer (sometimes it takes a while). The Roku does not. Both show as Network Devices. The PC is wired and the TV/Roku are on Wifi (same network). I am trying to use the media player that came with the TV.

Re: UMS not showing on either Roku or Sony Bravia 7
I looked at your logs and could not see anything wrong.
It does detect a Sony TV (65XR70C) on 192.168.1.76, I had to check this and it is a Bravia 7.
Strangely there is no mention of it after it does the speed test.
before that when UMS is trying to subscribe to the TV's service it does receive a bad request message.
I don't know much about this so don't know what is wrong.
It may be your router that is the cause.
I have seen it mentioned somewhere that some routers separate some traffic like UPnP between Wifi and Wired and this could be stopping the requests.
Have a look in the router's settings for UPnP and bridging, I think that was the settings to check.
You could also use a wired connection to the TV to rule this out.
I did not see any reference to anything Roku, the only other device was a Hue Bridge.
Are you using WiFi extenders? These can create a subnet so UMS will not be able to access it, only devices on the same subnet.

Re: UMS not showing on either Roku or Sony Bravia 7
I enabled uPnP, then restarted both the TV and UMS. It still does not show anything. I also reserved the TV and Roku IPs.
The Roku is at 192.168.1.112
I am not using any extenders.
I will try to find another Cable to drag over to the TV.

Re: UMS not showing on either Roku or Sony Bravia 7
Using a physical cable seems to give a worse result as it doesn't show the renderer at all.

Could you post the logs while it has a wired connection?
Do you have any firewall programs as part of antivirus?
