deeper level of directories
deeper level of directories
I hope this is not a repeated question. I did a quick search and did not see an answer, and since it's not a bug I did not want o put it in the support help.
Is there a way to adjust how many levels of directories you can dive into? I sometimes will install something that will have video files in it deeper than USM will allow me to scroll down to. Is there a simple fix in the config file I could change so that I could dive deeper?
TIA

Re: deeper level of directories
There should not be a limit on how deep in the file tree you can go, but there may be a max character limit on path length depending on you OS.
One way to test this is to rename the longer folder names and see if that allows you to go deeper.
In win 10 you can enable long paths with some registry edits according to this, but I don't know if UMS will be able to take advantage of it.

Re: deeper level of directories
Thanks for the reply mik_s. I tried shortening a couple directories and I was still not allowed to dive deeper into the tree. Going to try later tonight and create simple folders just numbered 1-10 and see how far it lets me dive down.
Re: deeper level of directories
If you do find a limit could you do logs so I can see what it could actually be.
