renderers

Post by nmharleyrider1 »

I have been trying to get the renderers so show up for many months now after over 10 years of using this software. I do not know what has happened but I have not had this problem for a long time.

I do see errors about the network interface being null

Code: Select all

DEBUG 2026-10-08 11:17:04.370 [main] net.pms.network.configuration.NetworkConfiguration Using forced address: 192.0.0.223

In your UMS.conf there is no setting for network_interface so UMS should auto detect but I think the problem is you have set a forced IP address that may not be available on any network interface so is returning the null result.

Code: Select all

# Force IP of the Media Server
# ----------------------------
# A network interface can have multiple IP addresses associated with it.
# This sets which one should be used.
# Default: "", which means UMS will automatically select an IP address.
hostname = 192.0.0.223
This does not look right for a local network IP as it usually is 192.168.x.x but I know little about networking and how IPs are assigned.

There is an available interface on 10.0.0.223 and the IP you used was maybe a typo. I know 10.0.0.x is another way of having local IPs.

Code: Select all

checking wlan2(5), display name: Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX211 160MHz
available addresses for wlan2 is: [/10.0.0.223]
Try removing the forced IP so UMS can automatically detect it.
